As an osteopath, Dr Tim Hulbert works closely with you, taking a full history and tailoring the a structural therapy treatment to suit you and your unique condition.

Structural therapies are used to ensure your body has optimum mobility. Movement may have be restricted due to stress, tension in the body, injuries, illnesses, or incorrect body posture or movement. Structural therapies aim to track down the source of restriction or pain, and eliminate it.

Dr Tim Hulbert discusses with you the best use of any or all of these treatments in the one session:

Osteopathic spinal manipulation

The gentle moving and manipulation of joints is designed to relieve pressure on joints, reduce inflammation, and improve nerve function. It’s often used to treat back, neck, shoulder, and headache pain. Osteopaths use it to treat other disorders too, such as menstrual pain, headaches and sinus problems. Often called a crack in popular usage.

Deep massage

The soft tissues including the muscles and fascia of the body are massaged, in order to relax and ultimately strengthen those areas (in particular the musculoskeletal framework). Great for blood flow.

Needling

The use of fine needles to correct the flow of Qi, or energy, flowing in the body at junctures close to the surface of the skin. This also helps to alleviate tension in the muscles and joints.

It can be used on patients who suffer from a variety of acute and chronic conditions in order to help eliminate pain, swelling, reduce spasms and increase functionality.
